This webinar is considered intermediate to advanced, focusing on recent research and development of forensic assessment instruments, those that have the legal construct built into the test itself. We will cover the use of these assessments in criminal
settings( competency and criminal responsibility), as well as approaches to the assessment of violence,recidivism of sex offenders, and child custody. Special attention will be paid to the proper use and misuse of these instruments in answering forensic questions.Finally,
we will consider the evolution and application of various standards for the admissibility of expert testimony.
