Speaker/s

Presented By: Lonnie Moore and Tom Allen

Bio: Lonnie Moore and Tom Allen are both experienced and award winning AP Human Geography Teachers for Omaha Public Schools in Nebraska.  They both serve on their geographic alliance's steering committee, have both read AP scripts in Lincoln and Cincinnati, and have conducted highly successful week-long geography workshops.  Much more important, however, both men are deeply rooted in agriculture.  Tom Allen's experience includes a diverse farm in Mississippi that included animals and plant crops.  Today, Tom still owns and manages the farm in Mississippi concentrating on trees.  Lonnie Moore started feeding and showing beef cattle in southwest Nebraska at the age of 9 and still has a herd of over 30 head.  He has sold breeding cattle to ranchers in eleven states and has beef customers in three states.  As much as they love agriculture, however, they love teaching high school students in creative ways even more.
