This 4-hour program applies to all personnel that work at height and have to be aware of various dangers of working at heights and how to protect themselves from falls in the workplace. Meets the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.

  • Introduction to Working at Heights
  • OSHA Regulations Concerning Working at Heights
  • Hazards of Working at Heights
  • Ladder Safety
  • Roof, Scaffold, and Work Platform Safety
  • Fall Protection Systems
  • Fall Protection Equipment and proper use
     
After completing the course students should be able to:
  • Recognize Hazards of Working at Heights
  • Work Safely from a Roof, Scaffolding, and other Work Platforms
  • Recognize the Need, Selection, and Proper Use of Fall Protection Equipment and Systems

Safety Training Services, Inc. [STS] is a group of retired or practicing firefighters, paramedics, HAZMAT specialists and active rescue team members with first-hand knowledge of the field.

Training Services: We offer training programs meeting the requirements of OSHA and where applicable, EPA/RCRA standards.

Field Services: We also offer confined space/industrial rescue stand-by teams which can be deployed with a crew and associated equipment to any site in order to provide on-site rescue and retrieval of downed entrants to satisfy 1910.146 (k) requirements.
