Details

For those who have mastered about 300 Chinese characters, basic grammar and cultural knowledge, or have the language proficiency equivalent to HSK Level 2. It focuses more on building skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing. Students start to do extensive conversations and reading comprehension, write complete sentences, and practice appropriate use of idiomatic expressions. A broad aspect of Chinese culture and history is introduced. After completion of this course, students will master about 600 Chinese characters, most grammar and more cultural knowledge. They will be able to communicate fairly with others on familiar topics. It’s also designed for those who are preparing HSK Test Level 3 and want to pass it with high scores.

The Confucius Institute at the University of Texas at Dallas

Inaugurated in November 2007, the Confucius Institute at the University of Texas at Dallas is a non-profit public educational institution. Its mission is to teach Chinese language and culture, support Chinese language instruction in local schools, train Chinese language teachers, and promote academic research on China.
