If you are in the maritime industry and want to learn proper assessment techniques or receive guidance in assessment methods and practice, look no further than Resolve Maritime Academy’s brand new Qualified Assessor course.
Taught by some of the most knowledgeable and experienced maritime professionals, this course provides real-life, USCG-Licensed Merchant Marine Officer guidance in assessment and evaluation methods as well as practice through a number of life-like, in-course demonstrations. In addition to providing situational training, each participant will also complete an On-Board Assessment in their specialty to an accuracy of 80% correctness, as well as a written final assessment with a minimum assessment of 70% accuracy.
As one of the premier maritime training academies in South Florida, this truly is maritime training as real as it gets. By taking this course, students will obtain the necessary knowledge to be adjudged competent as a USCG Qualified Assessor (QA).
What You Will Learn:
Any student who successfully completes the Resolve Maritime Academy’s Qualified Assessor course will satisfy the following requirements:
- 46 CFR §10.103 Incorporation by reference.
- STCW Regulation I/6 and Section A-I/6 (Training and Assessment).
- Navigational and Vessel Inspection Circular (NVIC) Number 19-14 (Policy on Qualified Assessors).
- IMO Model Course 1.30 On-Board Assessment.
- Evaluations to facilitate training to the STCW Standard in A-I/6.
A course completion certificate will be issued to the student upon successful completion of all course requirements and assessments.
