RN TO BSN PROGRAM (ON-CAMPUS/BLENDED ONLINE)
ACCELERATED PROGRAM
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Welcome to the RCI RN to BSN program. This is a new accredited, innovative, and flexible program that allows you to earn your Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) via the bridge RN to BSN course. That means we help current registered nurses (RNs) graduate with a BSN degree via a combined online and on-campus course. We have found that this format allows for maximum flexibility, yet incorporates the needed structure our students have asked for with in-person didactic and clinical training hours.

We recommend starting out by simply reading throughs this homepage. We have placed a lot of information on this page, but the three sections below should get you started.

WHY GET YOUR RN TO BSN DEGREE?Better Wages & Career Options

On average, nurses with a BSN degree make around $11,000 more compared to the median RN salary. Many administrators, managers, and others in authority positions in healthcare establishments also hold their bachelor's degree at a minimum.

The 'BSN in 10' Resolution

The American Nurses Association passed a resolution which recommended that all RNs who graduate from an ADN- or diploma-program be required to obtain a BSN within 10 years of licensure, increasing the number of RN's entering an RN to BSN program.

It's happening now in New York. Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed into law a requirement that nurses earn a BSN within 10 years of initial licensure.

The Institute of Medicine recommends that 80% of the nursing workforce must have a BSN degree by 2020.

Flexible & Fast RN-BSN Curriculum

Our RN to BSN program is designed for working registered nurses, meaning you can actually work while you earn your BSN degree, which is typically a 16-20 month term. We offer our RN to BSN program with an online component for convenience and flexibility.

Improve Patient Care

A study by the American Nurses Association found that on average, healthcare establishments that had a higher percentage of nurses with BSN degrees had: shorter hospital stays for patients, lower mortality rates for patients, and better patient satisfaction levels.

Employers are hiring a higher percentage of BSN vs RN graduates

Generally speaking, due to the BSN in 10 resolution and basic workforce demand, more hospitals and other healthcare offices are tending to hire more RN's with a BSN degree, which - as data shows - is also better for their patients.

Online RN to BSN Program Availability

The emergence of technology allows us to bring a unique blended online & on-campus program to earn your RN to BSN degree. Blended programs allow for the structure, mentoring, and one-on-one interaction between students, staff and instructors and the flexibility of an online schedule.

WHY PURSUE A RN-BSN PROGRAM?

RCI's RN to BSN program enable a registered nurse (RN) who does not hold Bachelors in nursing degree to complete their BSN. As many RNs completed an associate's degree or a diploma program they do not have a BS in nursing degree. Therefore, if these RNs wish to advance their career, they can continue their education and earn the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

Our RN to BSN completion program is designed for current working Registered Nurses and part-time Students. This program is specifically tailored for a professional nurse who is either working full-time or part-time, and therefore is designed to be flexible.
