Create a Listening Goal
You will learn how to create a listening goal before each listening event to ensure you are mentally prepared to be an active listener.
Note-Taking Formats
You will receive several practical, and flexible, note-taking formats that can help you take efficient and effective notes based on the topic and speaker type.
Conflict Listening Prep
You will learn multiple strategies to help you communicate professionally & calmly with individuals in conflict situations (i.e. reprimanding employees, personality conflicts, etc.).

SECTION 4 – LISTENING BARRIERS
Internal & External Barriers to Listening
Mental, physical, and organizational barriers that can prevent you from effective listening – and solutions for overcoming these barriers.
Listening Mistakes
You will learn about the common listening mistakes that occur during meetings, classes, and conversations – and how to avoid them.
Body Language
You will learn how to recognize and adapt to the body language of your speaker, and how to adjust your own body language accordingly.
SECTION 5 – APPENDIX
In each Participant Workbook, you will have worksheets and templates to help you thoroughly prepare (i.e. organize and sequence information) for listening, and to take highly effective notes while listening.
