The Arkansas Tech University ASBTDC presents “Intro to Small Business Certifications” from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on March 5 at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. This class is for established businesses interested in selling their products/services to government entities. Kimberly Randle, Arkansas APEX counselor, will discuss small business certification programs available through the SBA, including 8(a) Business Development, Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone), Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB), and Economic Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB). Topics also include federal and state registrations, rules, and requirements for these certifications and resources available to assist businesses in selling to the government. There is no charge to attend. Seating is limited with registration required no later than March 4.
