This is an intensive course enabling students to qualify as an Aromatherapist within 9 months studying at weekends in East Grinstead. This is a stand alone module.

Outline
- The benefits and contraindications of an aromatherapy massage
- How to blend up to 42 essential oils and 19 carrier oils
- Understand the botanical plant families that essential oils belong to and their relevance
- Identify chemical constituents for each essential oil
- Using a variety of massage techniques including pressure points and lymph drainage
- A full body massage routine and how to adapt this to different clients
Case Studies and Assessments
- There will be quite a lot of time required for you to study at home – a minimum of 5 hours per week
- 1 multiple choice theory paper on Aromatherapy
- 40 treatments in the form of 10 case studies treating each client 4 times
- A practical examination lasting 1 hour
The above cost and requirements are based on you already having completed a recognised qualification in Massage and Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology.
Evidence of this will be required at time of enrolment.
If you did not study a business module in your previous qualification, you will need to do this as part of the Aromatherapy Massage Diploma. The Business module is a self study course with a multiple choice theory paper taking place on the last day of the massage course. The additional cost for the Business Module is £330, payable alongside this course.
Alternatively, if you are a complete beginner to massage and would like to take longer with your studies, you can enrol on the Massage Diploma Course including Anatomy & Physiology first and study L3 Aromatherapy Massage later in the year. Please contact us to discuss your individual mode of study.
