Participants will learn the appropriate response strategy to take should an H2S related incident arise. The H2S Gas training is an Instructor-Led course that is held in Denver, Colorado.

Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), sometimes called sour gas, is a flammable, colorless gas that is toxic even at extremely low concentrations. Once exposed it can quickly cause you to lose your sense of smell placing you in greater danger from continued exposure. This class educates students on the dangers of H2S gas.

- Intro to OSHA. OSHA & API regulations specific to H2S
- Chemical and Physical Properties of H2S
- Occupational Exposure Limits
- Health Hazards of H2S gas
- Respiratory Protective Equipment
- Detection of H2S
- Initial Response Strategy
Learning Objectives of the H2S Gas Training course:
- Be knowledgeable about the OSHA and API regulations applicable to Hydrogen Sulfide Gas
- Be knowledgeable about the different sources of H2S gas
- Understand the physical and chemical properties of H2S gas and the health effects it can have on the body
- Understand the use of Personal Protective Equipment for Hydrogen Sulfide exposure control
- Be knowledgeable on how to respond in the event of a Hydrogen Sulfide Exposure
