Basic Training Revalidation (USCG)
Details
This course will allow students to demonstrate the skills needed to revalidate their STCW Certification and continue to be able to prevent accidents, injuries, and harm to our environment; function safely and harmoniously in the chain of command; and in case of a fire emergency, react in the correct manner.
Students taking this course MUST show a valid STCW certification within the last 5 years, and has maintained at least 1 year (360 days) sea service with continuing training during the sea service period. To pass this course, students must be present and complete all practical exercises. The STCW revalidation components that will be covered in this course are:
- Basic Fire Fighting (STCW)
- Personal Survival Techniques (STCW)

- STCW Section A-VI/1, 46 CFR 11.302(d)(2), and 46 CFR 12.602(d)(2)
- STCW as amended 2010, Section A-VI/1, 46 CFR 11.302(d) and 46 CFR 12.602(d)(1)
