Outline
In addition to core courses (21 hours a week), students may register for elective courses for an additional fee. Electives are oered Monday through Friday from 1:30-2:45 p.m., and evening classes take place Monday through Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.-noon.
The English Language Institute’s vision is to be the institute of choice for local and international students to develop their English language skills needed for academic, professional, and social purposes contributing to the growth of the UTEP campus and the El Paso community.
ELI’s mission is to provide an English as a Second Language (ESL) blended curriculum, which will prepare local and international students to achieve a TOEFL grade of 550, while developing the students culturally to be successful in an American university.
